The Association of trainees and young doctors sent an open letter to Prime Minister Zoran Zaev, because as they say, the truth must not be silenced.

“The Association of Trainees (ZLS) wants to emphasize that in times of crisis for the Macedonian health and society in general, when we face almost full hospital beds and exhausted staff, each trainee wants to be provided with humane conditions to be able to join of the fight and thus contributed to the improvement of the health condition of the patients. And on the other hand to prevent the collapse of the health system, which is especially important at this time. We once again appeal to you and the general public that it is against the basic human principles to require a trainee without health insurance to work in Covid Centers,” the open letter reads.

Trainee doctors point out that the right to life and health is guaranteed by a human rights convention, and private clinic trainees should not be an exception.
