702 COVID-19 patients treated in hospitals throughout Macedonia

The number of patients treated in COVID centers across the country stands at 702, the Ministry of Health informed on Friday.

There are about 90 available beds in hospitals outside of Skopje.

Despite the large influx of patients over the past ten days, the Ministry of Health is in contact with all hospitals and, if necessary, capacities of COVID departments will be further enlarged, reads the press release.

According to the reports of the hospitals arriving at the Ministry of Health on a daily basis, 75 patients positive and suspected of COVID-19 are hospitalized in the Bitola hospital. 58 patients are hospitalized in the Shtiphopsital. There are 48 patients at the Infectious Diseases Department in Tetovo, 67 patients are being treated in the Veleshospital, and 73 patients positive to COVID-19 are treated in Kumanovo. 30 positive and suspected patients are hospitalized in Struga. There are 30 patients in the hospital in Strumica, 23 in Kochani, 20 in Kichevo, 39 in Kavadarci, and 11 in Gevgelija.
