DUI leader Ali Ahmeti said that he’s optimistic and expects to have good news from Sofia by the end of the year regarding the dispute with Macedonia and the blockade of the EU accession talks.
“I do not think it is time to share with the public about the offers or the latest documents that have been exchanged. We will wait to see the reaction from Bulgaria,” said Ahmeti.
He added that Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani is working intensively to resolve the dispute, and that he wants to put an overcoming dispute behind him.
“Osmani is very active, I expect results. It is a very important moment to demonstrate to all citizens, especially to our fellow Macedonians, that we share the good and the bad, that we will stand side by side together in resolving this dispute. This is a key historical moment to see that this country has a Minister of Foreign Affairs and I congratulate him on the work he has done and his maturity,” said Ahmeti.
