Ahmeti is convinced that a quick solution with Bulgaria is possible without consequences for language, identity and culture


DUI President Ali Ahmeti met with former Prime Minister Vlado Buchkovski, who was elected by the Government for the context with neighboring Bulgaria, DUI reports.

Ahmeti and Buchkovski discuss the implementation of the Good Neighborliness Treaty between Skopje and Sofia, the current positions between the parties and the best ways to overcome the dispute. Ahmeti gave full support to the intensive dialogue and expressed confidence that the solution can be reached quickly without any consequences on the language, identity and culture that are not part of the context and dialogue, informs DUI.

The party added that the European spirit of reaching an agreement should prevail in its precise implementation without delay and as part of the framework for negotiations in the field of neighborly relations, but also the constitutional provisions for territorial and other non-threat to our neighbors.
