In the past 24 hours, 1,161 new cases of COVID-19 were registered, bringing the number of active cases in the country to 21,797. However, according to the authorities, the hospitals have available beds, and the relevant Ministry assures that they are in constant contact with all hospitals and if necessary, the capacity of the COVID departments will be further expanded.

Data from the Ministry of Health show that a total of 1,340 patients positive and suspected of coronavirus are being treated in hospitals across the country. The ministry emphasizes that all infectious diseases departments have oxygen supply and can take care of patients in need of oxygen support.

However, Doctor Dejan Trajkovski shared that the statistics show that 3.50% of the total number diagnosed 14 days ago have died. But of all those who were hospitalized 14 days ago (the average time of hospital treatment) to date, a staggering 34.8% have died! Specifically, of all those diagnosed, 9.3% reached the hospital, and of those who were hospitalized, 34.8% (one in three patients) died.

Since the outbreak of the epidemic, Macedonia has registered 72,044 confirmed coronavirus cases, while 48,170 people have recovered. The death toll stands at 2,077.
