The Holy Synod of Bishops of the Macedonian Orthodox Church – Ohrid Archbishopric, in the spirit of the recommendations received by the Ministry of Health to the religious communities, recommends that the upcoming holidays be celebrated with responsibility for public health, to observe the epidemiological health measures, and Christmas and Epiphany to be celebrated without violating the legal norms for public gatherings, determined by the Government.
“By observing these measures, as a Church we will contribute to preserving the general health of our people, in these difficult times when the whole world is facing the challenge of fighting the dangerous virus,” the Holy Synod said.
