VMRO-DPMNE EC member Dragan Kovachki said that it is scandalous and a great discredit of the country that Macedonia has been without the highest military representative at the NATO headquarters in Brussels for two and a half years. As Kovachki points out, the reason for that is that the candidate that Shekerinska proposed and Pendarovski accepted, NATO rejected.
Kovacki informs that recently, due to security reasons, NATO sent back another person who had been working in Brussels for a year.
This is an international and diplomatic scandal and it damages the reputation of the country. We publicly call on Minister Shekerinska and President Pendarovski to say whether the procedures for selection and referral of persons on missions abroad have been followed, and if not, why? They need to state who violated the procedures and how? Who gave you the right to destroy the trust built for years between Macedonia and NATO? Kovachki asked.
