A total of 1,040 health workers have been vaccinated until now, with only a few reporting slight pain in the arm or mild temperature, said the Ministry of Health on Monday.

It adds that 63,075 citizens have registered through website vakcinacija.mk.

The vaccination of health workers is carried out with the first batch of 4,680 out of 8,000 Pfizer vaccines, a donation from Serbia. Another 200,000 vaccines produced by the Chinese company Sinopharm should arrive by the end of February.

North Macedonia should also get additional doses of the vaccine through direct negotiations with Pfizer, as well as batches via EU’s COVAX Facility.
