11 police officers injured in the “Monster” case protest, eight protesters detained

After the violent protest over the “Monster” case, the Ministry of Interior informs that a total of 11 police officers were injured.

Eight protesters were detained at the police station, and will be charged with participating in an unlawful assembly.

The protest was organized due to the dissatisfaction of the families of the defendants in the “Monster” case after the court gave life sentences for defendants Halil Demiri, Afrim Ismailovic и and Agim Ismailovic, the only prison sentence of 15 years for the defendant Fejzi Aziri and the only prison sentence of 9 years for Haki Aziri, all accused of the fivefold murder at Smilkovsko Lake on April 12, 2012. The public prosecutor dropped all charges against defendant Sami Luta.
