SDSM announced that Zoran Zaev is the only candidate for a new party leader and that over 80,000 members with the right to vote will be able to vote in the first direct intra-party elections on March 21.
“Due to lack of other applications, the Central Election Commission made a decision to accept the application for the candidacy of Zoran Zaev, determined and announced the only list of candidate for leader of SDSM, which is Zoran Zaev. The first direct, intra-party elections will be held on March 21. Over 80,000 eligible members will be able to vote for the new president of SDSM,” the party said in a statement.
