An EU expert working on a project monitoring the work of senior civil servants has provoked government supporters after expressing his extremely negative personal views on the current situation in Macedonia.
“Every new day in Skopje evokes memories of the 1990’s. Intellectuals are at home, while primitivism leads the country. War profiteers, empty words, thieves, poverty,” wrote Luka Andrashi.
“As long as you stick to the Macedonian proverb “No sword cuts off a bowed head”, you are not living, you are merely surviving,” he wrote.
