Foreign Minister BujarOsmani on Wednesday commented on reactions over rights of the Bulgarian community in Macedonia.

“Republic of North Macedonia has an extremely successful model of a multiethnic society, and in addition to the collective rights of larger communities, functional mechanisms are in place for the protection of smaller ethnic communities,” Osmani said.

“Representatives of the civil society organizations should immediately contact the census bodies and request appropriate graphing within the census in order to determine the quantitative, demographic and geographical distribution of this community, which would significantly contribute to the creation of future policies both of the Government and of relevant units of local self-government, and the country in general,” he added.
