Prime Minister Zoran Zaev said on Wednesday that the determination to vote via fingerprint device in the next local elections remains.
“As the Minister of Justice informed me this weekend, there is progress in the negotiations with VMRO-DPMNE, I even received a draft text version that should continue with our first largest coalition partner – DUI, and then with the Albanian opposition. These are the stages that go so that in the end everyone can sit down and talk. I expect, I hope that the determination remains to go with a fingerprint in the next local elections. We can make it. We said we are determining funds in the budget to do so,” said Zaev.
He stressed that the Ministry of Interior is ready to transfer the fingerprint database in full, even to take over the responsibility for the management of this database.
