Health Minister Venko Filipche on Wednesday warned that the situation in hospitals nationwide regarding COVID hospitalizations was ‘very alarming.’
“The health system is being managed on daily basis, additional hospital beds are being secured, medical staff has been mobilized, however, the situation in hospitals is very alarming,” Filipche said in a Facebook post after holding a regular coordination meeting with clinic directors to discuss the state of hospitalized COVID patients, hospital capacities and therapies amongst other things.
He called on the citizens to adhere to the measures ‘to help the health system remain sustainable in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic.’
