Prime Minister Zoran Zaev, when asked by the media, confirmed that he arrived by helicopter in Prilep, along with Health Minister Venko Filipche at the state expense for some kind of an event.
This is a major scandal because this was a promotional event and not for some urgent state work. It is a waste of money at the expense of the citizens, in moments when many people are fighting for their lives, there are no vaccines in sight, and people are suffering. Many of the 310 COVID-19 victims in Prilep may have needed a quick ride to the hospital, but they had no such privilege, so their lives were cut short.
