The army did not receive any request for help in the rescue operation of the snow-covered shepherd in the Kratovo mountainous areas. If such a request came to the Army, it would be approved overnight and the Army would help, as it has done many times before because there are army helicopters and professional units available, said President Stevo Pendarovski on Monday.
A medical team had to carry the badly hypothermic shepherd for hours over remote, mountain terrain until they reached their vehicle, after they were denied assistance from the authorities, who shifted responsibility from one to the other.
