Investigating what the Government is paying, BIRN, through a Request for Free Access to Public Information, received all invoices paid through the copyright agency Artpick for December 2020 under the item Other Contractual Services.
The findings show that the government, with more than 250 employees in the General Secretariat, additionally hired 58 people in December last year, but unlike the employees listed by name, these freelancers are hidden, so despite all the declared efforts for transparency, the government insists they remain anonymous.
These are fees, which in total for a month amount to over 37 thousand euros. These include engagements such as: writer of press releases, writers of various studies, production organizer, anti-COVID-19 consultant, graphic designer, editor, geodesy consultant, European integration consultant, translator, etc.
