Information was placed in the public on Tuesday that most of the hospitality workers deregistered their employees, to which, as a union, we sharply protest. The employers from the hospitality sector should not manipulate the workers from this sector, and we instruct the workers not to sign any blank documents under duress or threat that the employers will abuse to cancel their employment contracts, announced the Federation of Trade Unions of Macedonia (SSM) Wednesday.

Hence, the federation points out that it is against the law and a collective agreement if the workers had signed employment contracts to leave one day before the beginning of the measures that restrict the work in this sector.

“It is not possible that exactly yesterday and today validity of employment contracts ended for all workers if they were signed for a certain period of time,” says SSM.
