Director of the Children’s Clinic Prof. Dr. Aspazija Sofijanova says that the age limit for patients with the British COVID-19 strain has lowered.

“The British strain did not exclude children. It has a faster method of spreading and the age limit has been lowered. The clinical picture in children has changed from asymptomatic to symptomatic and we see a classic picture of COVID-19, said Dr. Sofijanova in an interview with TV24.

She says that an increasing number of coronavirus positive children are admitted to the clinic. What we saw in adults, we now see in children, says Sofijanova.
