A minority of citizens (42.0%) trust the Government, and among them, more ethnic Albanians (61.8%) and members of other communities (51.5%).
This was shown by the results of the latest research conducted by MCIC “Trust in the Government and local elections” dedicated to some current political issues.
About three-quarters of citizens agree that the country is in a political crisis. The supporters of VMRO-DPMNE (87.6%) and the undecided (78.6%) are more numerous among them. Asked what they think is the solution to overcome the political crisis, most of the citizens, i.e. 36.0% said that it is the early parliamentary elections. Some believe that the Government has the strength to continue and deal with the crisis, while for 15.7% the solution is to form a broad coalition of SDSM and VMRO-DPMNE. Viewed from the perspective of ethnicity, ethnic Macedonians more often chose the answer “early parliamentary elections” (42.4%), and ethnic Albanians are more likely to believe that the Government has the strength to continue and deal with the crisis (47.0%).
