VMRO-DPMNE and coalition press charges against Speaker Xhaferi and the two infected MPs

Macedonia must be a country where the laws and the Constitution apply to all equally, VMRO-DPMNE MP Eli Panova said on Tuesday, informing reporters that the opposition coalition led by her party had filed l charges against Parliament Speaker Talat Xhaferi and the two MPs from the ruling coalition led by SDSM on Sunday violated the epidemiological regulations and measures and although testing positive for COVID-19, attended a Parliament session.

MP from the ruling SDSM Bisera Kostadinovska Stojchevska and MP from the coalition DOM Miroslav Bogdanovski are accused by the general public that they committed a crime after appearing in Parliament on Sunday, despite testing positive for COVID-19 and by law they should be ordered in self-isolation, they endangered the health of colleagues and other employees of the Macedonian Parliament.

Due to reasonable doubt of violation of the Criminal Code, and especially in Articles 205 and 206, which refer to failure to act on health regulations during a pandemic, the VMRO-DPMNE parliamentary group and the coalition will press charges Teusday at the Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office.
