Asked again about the alleged non-papers that mention the redrawing of the borders in the Western Balkans, a clear message arrived today from the European Commission that such a project is out of the question, said the MIA correspondent from Brussels.

The question was raised again today at a regular press briefing in Brussels on the occasion of Serbia’s President Aleksandar Vucic’s visit to EU institutions.

He met this morning with European Commission President Ursula von der Layen and EU Enlargement Commissioner Olivér Várhelyi.

European Commission spokesperson Eric Mamer said the famous non-paper allegedly submitted by Slovenia’s Prime Minister Janez Jansa, nor any other documents with similar content had been seen by anyone at the European Commission.

“You know very well the position of the EU that we are not for any change of borders, this should be removed, no matter what kind of papers appear in the future or have appeared in the past, our position is clear,” Mamer said.
