Macedonia receives 200,000 Sinopharm COVID-19 vaccines, vaccination in six cities across the country starting Tuesday

A batch of 200,000 doses of China’s Sinopharm vaccine arrived Friday morning in Skopje, to be distributed by Monday to the Boris Trajkovski sports hall and to six more cities across the country, allowing for mass vaccination of 10,000 to 15,000 people daily as of Tuesday.

Health Minister VenkoFilipche thanked the Chinese Ambassador to North Macedonia Zhang Zuo, with whom he attended the delivery of the vaccines at the Jane Sandanski polyclinic. Filipche announced that another batch of 600,000 vaccines from China, as well as a batch of 26,000 Pfizer vaccines are expected next month.
