Ministry of Health: 12,606 vaccine doses administered on Thursday

As of today, a total of 104,962 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered in the country, with 84,312 citizens receiving one dose and 20,650 citizens receiving two, according to the Ministry of Health on Friday morning.

On Thursday, 12,606 people were vaccinated against Covid-19 nationwide. Of them, 10,135 received their first vaccine dose.

The mass vaccination program against COVID-19 is based on the National Immunization Plan, prioritizing seniors and frontline workers. The latest figures show that 28 percent of the population over 70 has received at least one vaccine dose so far.

In addition to the country’s largest mass vaccination site at the Skopje Boris Trajkovski Sports Arena, vaccination sites are open in Kavadarci, Kumanovo, Tetovo, Shtip, Bitola and Ohrid. The Ministry of Health urges citizens to apply for their coronavirus shot appointment at vakcinacija.mk. So far, over 256,346 citizens have applied for vaccination via the website, the release adds.
