Dashtevski: A new tender was poblished on Monday for fingerprint terminals for the local elections


President of the State Election Commission (SEC) Aleksandar Dashtevski said Tuesday that there will be no postponement of the local elections, after the annulment of the first tender for procurement of terminals for reading biometric data of citizens. The repeated tender was announced on Monday, he informed in a statement to the media before the start of the SEC session.

“It was published yesterday, the tender will end by the end of this month and there will be no delay (in the local elections) because the deadline is flexible – the second half of October. We will inform the President of the Assembly when we are ready”, said the President of the State Election Commission (SEC).

The first tender was annulled by the Public Procurement Bureau.
