The biggest problem this government is having is that it is constantly borrowing, and at the same time they do not want to look at the costs they are incurring, and see what can be reduced, and there is room for cost reduction. Namely, we have more than 300 million euros in various expenditures, for which we need to see where they go, said Gordana Dimitrieska-Kochoska, member of the VMRO-DPMNE Executive Committee during her visit to Gjorche Petrov.
She said that when you look at the public debt forecasts until 2026, the situation is very difficult. Dimitrieska-Kochoska emphasized that the new borrowings that will come will be with higher interest rates.
He called on the Minister to cut spending, and not to allow public debt in 2023, as written in the forecasts to reach 65.9 percent, because it will be difficult to return, especially given the fact that productivity in Macedonia is falling, people are moving out, and companies are operating catastrophically.
