At the proposal of the Commission for Infectious Diseases, Health Minister Venko Filipche on Monday asked the Coordination Crisis Headquarters to keep the nationwide curfew in place until June 15.

According to the Ministry of Health in a press release, Minister Filipche said keeping the midnight to 4 am curfew in place would limit gatherings in the late hours.

The coronavirus situation in the country is stable, the release adds. The number of hospital admissions has decreased, and the Clinic for Infectious Diseases and Febrile Conditions, for the first time since the beginning of the pandemic, has started to admit patients with other infections.

With active case numbers dropping, the epidemiological trends are encouraging, according to the MoH.
