Health Minister Venko Filipche said Saturday the Indian variant of COVID-19 has been confirmed in one more patient.
“Both patients with the Indian variant were working in Iraq and came back to the country on the same flight, but one of them showed symptoms later on. The situation is under control and the patient is not at risk,” Minister Filipche told reporters in Bitola.
He said all vaccines protect from a severe form of the diseases or a fatal outcome, even from a mutation.
There is a threat of the Indian variant or other mutations across the globe. But the important thing is that vaccines protect from severe forms of the diseases or a fatal outcome, even from mutations, said Filipche.
