Prime Minister Zoran Zaev announced Monday that this year he will use ten days of his summer vacation, but did not want to comment on whether or not the parliament should go on vacation to realize all the backlog of activities before the September census and local elections planned for October.

“As I said, I am a Social Democrat, the right to rest is a legitimate right, because a well-rested person and a worker, even an MP, can be more efficient. Maybe the entire month of August does not have to be a vacation, usually after Ilinden the parliament goes on vacation, maybe less, but the Parliament is above the Government, above me as Prime Minister. I would not allow myself to comment on their decisions, it’s their decision to make. But, I will use only ten days of vacation,” said Zaev when asked by at an event in the Skopje municipality Gjorche Petrov.
