Cleanliness, inefficient communal hygiene, dysfunction of water supply and sewerage, maintenance of streets, polluted air, lack of sufficient green areas are the main problems that citizens face at the local level, shows the research of MKD.mk conducted by the Market Vision agency. This research showed that at the local level there is progress in improving the conditions in kindergartens and schools, and the biggest setbacks are in urban planning, hygiene of public areas and conditions for sports and recreation.
Half of the respondents or 52.2% assess the work of the local self-government as unsuccessful, and a quarter of the respondents or 26.3% evaluate the work of the local self-government as successful.
