The pension fund is in stable condition and the pensions will continue to be paid on time. There is no problem concerning the sustainability of the budget of the Pension and Disability Insurance Fund, Fund’s director Biljana Jovanovska said in an interview with Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty (RFE/RL) on Sunday.
“Having in mind that during coronavirus crisis, the government passed a decision for an early payment of the pensions, we will realize early payment of July pensions at the end of the month. Everything is going as planned in terms of planned revenues and expenditures,” Jovanovska said.
She pointed out that revenues realized in the first five months, were increased by 6.5% compared to the first five months of 2020. And in the part of what was planned for the first five months, we have an increase of two percent. These indicators show that the pension fund is stable, Jovanovska noted, adding that at the moment, according to the Fund’s data, the number of insured persons has increased compared to the same period in 2020.
