The farmers were expecting a press conference at which the government will say when the subsidies will be paid and why part of 2017, 2018 and 2019 have not been paid yet, and who will be responsible for that, and not to lie about alleged help, reads VMRO –DPMNE’s statement for the media.
The opposition party adds that the government owes to the farmers, and no one takes responsibility.
“Zaev who came to power in 2016 lying that there will be a safe purchase and high purchase prices for agricultural products is now nowhere and left farmers on the margins. With SDSM, the farmers throw the crop in a dump, in a canal or a lake every year. If everything was rosy, as SDSM claims, there would not be hundreds of tons of products going to the dump every year,” reads the statement from the party.
