The Crisis Management Centre (CMC) presented Monday the Next-Generation Incident Command System (NICS) for emergency situations, which digitizes field data for the purpose of proper management of the wildfire situation by the HQ within CMC.

“This system presents the situation in real-time, with HQ members looking at data on active fires and their intensity on the screen, as well as extinguished fires and those that could reactivate. This helps the HQ in making the right decisions and coordinating forces on the ground,” said CMC director StojancheAngelov.
