Minister of Foreign Affairs Bujar Osmani has contacted his Turkish counterpart Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu who reassured that if necessary their Ministry will help the pullout of Macedonian nationals from Afghanistan.
“Given that the Republic of Turkey has a wide diplomatic and logistical presence in Kabul, I asked for possible assistance if there is a need to evacuate our citizens there. I received assurances from my colleague Çavuşoğlu that their presence in Kabul is stable, that they have sufficient logistical capacity to transfer their citizens and that they will consider to help evacuate our citizens, if the need arises,” Osmani wrote on Facebook.
