The Agency for Audio and Audiovisual Media Services (AVMS) today sent a reaction regarding the protest on Sunday triggered by the new measures against COVID-19.

AVMS condemned the insults and vulgar messages that were addressed to the journalists at the protest and emphasized that this attitude is a direct attack on the freedom of the media and the right of the public to be informed.

“We condemn all forms of humiliation and verbal insults against journalists and urge that the dignity of the journalistic profession be respected, as well as the personal dignity of media professionals. We emphasize that providing conditions for uninterrupted work of media workers is a necessary prerequisite for freedom of information, “said AVMS.
