The “Get Vaccinated!” campaign for mass and successful vaccination of citizens starts Monday, because the country is still far from the desired level of immunization against the COVID-19 virus.
“With this pace of vaccination by mid-October, the herd immunity will increase even more and we can reach a million citizens who will be immunized – said Health Minister Venko Filipche who together with Prime Minister Zoran Zaev promoted the “Get Vaccinated” campaign.
According to Filipche, the current strain of the virus requires coverage of over 80 percent of the vaccinated population to gain herd immunity.
The campaign aims to inform citizens about personal and collective protection against COVID-19, to break all myths and misinformation, to encourage citizens to be vaccinated and to contribute to collective health.
