Trade in January – July 2021 amounted to 9,440,427,000 euros, according to the State Statistical Office. Exports reached 3,996,058,000 euros, an increase of 34.6 percent over the same period last year, and imports were 5,444,369,000 or 34 percent more.

The trade deficit in the period January-July 2021 amounted to 1,448,311,000 euros.

The coverage of imports with exports, in the period January-July 2021, is 73.4 percent.

Trade in products shows that the largest share in exports are catalysts for carriers with precious metals or their compounds, sets of ignition conductors and the like, for vehicles, aircraft or ships, seat parts of subgroup 821.1 and ferronickel

Other imports are mostly platinum group metals and their alloys, unwrought or in powder form, ceramic products for laboratory, chemical and industrial use, platinum and platinum alloys, unwrought or in powder form, and petroleum oils and oils obtained from bituminous minerals. (except raw).

In January-July 2021, according to the total volume of foreign trade, the country mostly traded with Germany, the UK, Greece, Serbia and China.
