(PHOTO) Police seize 860 kilograms of cut tobacco in markets and warehouses

The Investigation Department – Sector for Control and Investigations of the Customs Administration of the Republic of North Macedonia, the Criminal Police Department of the Ministry of Interior and the Market Inspection, conducted a joint action against illegal sale of cut tobacco through the markets in the city of Skopje. The subject of the action was control and seizure of products that are sold illegally and which are excise goods.

In the operation, 860 kilograms of cut tobacco were seized, which was found in the markets and other warehouses. By doing this, the perpetrators avoided paying duties in the amount of 1,763,000 denars. Charges will be filed against the perpetrators.
