The Alliance for Albanians leader Zijadin Sela, when asked for his position on the request for an inquiry commission for the tragedy in the Tetovo modular hospital, said on Thursday that as a party they stand behind any commission that will work on bringing the truth to light and seek accountability.

“There should be legal accountability for all those who were responsible. Unfortunately, since these very unfortunate events took place, I do not see that the prosecution is working to hold anyone accountable. We do not need some experts from abroad to come to us to see that there were people who should not be present by law. Therefore, the prosecution should deal with the director of the hospital and a series of other omissions that occurred. For example, Mr. Besimi was the acting director for 11 years. I do not know what other evidence they need to start responsibility for this man, and to continue with the minister and so on,” said Sela at Thursday’s press conference before the meeting with representatives of the Economic Chamber of Northwest Macedonia (ECNWM).
