Antonio Jolevski elected the new President of the Council of Public Prosecutors

For the next two years, the President of the Council of Public Prosecutors (SPO) will be the Public Prosecutor Antonio Jolevski. This was decided at today’s 32nd session of the SPO of the Republic of Macedonia, i.e. all 11 members of the council voted for Jolevski. Apart from Jolevski, no other candidate has applied for the SPO president position.

Public Prosecutor Antonio Jolevski came to the position of a member of the SPO from the Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office in Bitola. In 1983 he was employed in the District Court Bitola, where he was a trainee and head of the registry office. Since 1996 he has been assigned to the Bitola Court of Appeals as an expert associate and court advisor, and since 2002 as a head of department – secretary of the court. In 2003 he was elected Deputy Public Prosecutor in the Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office in Bitola. In 2012 he was elected Basic Public Prosecutor of the Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office in Bitola. From 2018 as a public prosecutor in the Public Prosecutor’s Office Bitola. In 2020, he was elected a Member of the Council of Public Prosecutors of the Republic of North Macedonia.
