US President Joe Biden spoke with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen on Monday and expressed support for the European Union as a partner of the United States.
“U.S. President Biden stressing to Von Der Leyen that the EU accession process should continue for Western Balkans countries, including Macedonia, underscores its importance to regional stability, growth & prosperity,” U.S. Ambassador Kate Byrnes tweeted on Monday.
