Ministry of Interior releases details about the Cameroonians who smuggled one million counterfeit euros in the country

Two counterfeiters from Cameroon have been arrested after about one million counterfeit euros were found in their possession, and criminal charges have been filed.

On Friday, police officers from the Department for Suppression of Organized and Serious Crime (OSOSK) in cooperation with the Department for Border Affairs and Migration at the Border Crossing “International Airport” – Skopje, upon entering the country, arrested TRF (36) and MBS (40), both from Cameroon, due to the existence of grounds for suspicion of committing criminal offenses Producing, obtaining or misappropriating funds for counterfeiting.

During the passport control of the applicants, who arrived from Milan, an additional border control was performed and during the inspection of the luggage, at the TRF. 2,591 cut pieces of paper were found on which a part of the design of 50 euro banknotes was printed on both sides, 2,363 such pieces with a printed part of the design of 100 euro banknotes, 463 pieces with part of the design of 200 euro banknotes were found, 213 with design of 500 euro banknotes, 2 cut pieces of paper on which one side is printed in several colors part of the design of 50 euro banknotes, 78 cut pieces of paper without any mark, as well as two bottles with liquid and UV lamp.

During the inspection of the luggage at MBS 2,072 cut pieces of paper with a black background were found on which a part of the design of 50 euro banknotes was printed on both sides, 1,321 such pieces with a printed part of the design of 100 euro banknotes, 247 with a printed part of the design of 200 euro banknotes , 104 with a design of 500 euro banknotes, as well as 1 French ID card in the name of K.V.S. and 1 Cameroonian passport in the name of S.I.F. for which there is no evidence that they are true
