As for the upcoming year in the field of energy, it is recommended that the country increase the technical and engineering staff in the Department of Energy in the Ministry of Economy and the Energy Agency, to adopt and implement the law on energy efficiency and to complete the separation (certification) of systems for gas transmission.
The Energy and Water Regulatory Commission (ERC) is said to be operational, but its independence has been hampered by political interference.
