Of the 3,622 people tested for the coronavirus over the past 24 hours, 511 were diagnosed with covid-19, and ten people, aged 49 to 82, died from covid-related complications, the Ministry of Health said in a press release on Tuesday.
In the past 24 hours, 497 people recovered from the virus and ten people died from coronavirus-related complications.
Four people died in Skopje (aged 51, 64, 79, and 82), two died in Kumanovo (aged 49 and 81), and one person died in each of the following cities: Bitola (aged 71), Veles (aged 75), Shtip (aged 67) and Makedonska Kamenica (aged 69). All of them died in hospital.
At the moment, 6,191 cases are active nationwide, of which 3,177 in Skopje.
Since the onset of the epidemic, N. Macedonia has performed a total of 1,369,624 tests, recording 200,412 covid-19 cases and 187,149 recoveries. The death toll has reached 7,072.
