Prime Minister and leader of SDSM Zoran Zaev has not yet submitted his resignation from the leadership position or from the party, reports Fokus.mk.
The party authorities, along with its leader, are working on solutions and decisions by which SDSM is reorganized with the sole purpose of continuing to serve its people at the highest possible level and of course to be the leading party in the parliamentary majority that maintains the reform and progressive course of the country, says SDSM.
The decision to call early party elections is made by the SDSM Executive Board, and with the adoption of that decision is determined the date for their holding.
Early elections are conducted in a manner and procedure similar to regular elections, and are announced in case of resignation of the SDSM leader, by a vote of no confidence or termination of office on any other grounds.
The decision for announcing early elections is made by the SDSM Executive Board, no later than 15 days from the day of termination of office.
