VMRO-DPMNE leader HristijanMickoski called for early general elections to be held quickly, so that Macedonia will have a fully legitimate Government. The call comes after VMRO won a great victory over SDSM in the local elections and ZoranZaev announced that he will resign as Prime Minister and SDSM leader, but that he wants the SDSM led coalition to remain in power.

Mickoski’s demand comes after the election result of the party in the local elections which ended with a total defeat of SDSM, and the winner was VMRO-DPMNE.

If the local elections that took place exactly one week ago, i.e. on October 17, were general elections in which the citizens would elect people’s representatives in the Parliament of the Republic of Macedonia, then the opposition VMRO-DPMNE would have won by far the largest number of seats.
