The Federation of Trade Unions of Macedonia (SSM) urges the MPs to immediately adopt all legal solutions that are stuck in the Parliament, and refer to the realization and promotion of workers’ rights.

SSM demands the adoption of the legal solution with which Sunday is declared a non-working day and with which all those who work in the activities where there can be no delay in the technological process to be paid the daily wage increased by at least 50 percent. Adoption of a new Law on Labor Relations is also required, which will solve the problems faced by employees, such as part-time contracts, overtime work, vacation pay, work from home, etc.

Due to the increase in living costs, SSM demands an immediate increase in wages, as well as the minimum wage by at least 60 percent of the average wage.
