The state electricity operator ESM on Tuesday bought another 10,800 megawatts of electricity from domestic traders for which it will have to pay 2.5 million euros.
This procurement should satisfy the shortages in production by Sunday. The electricity price of this procurement from 3 electricity sellers ranges from 218.78 euros to 238.77 euros per megawatt.
This is the third procurement in just three days. On Sunday, first 26,000 megawatts were purchased, and yesterday 4,560 megawatts of electricity. ESM spent nearly 9 million euros to buy electricity at a price of over 200 euros per megawatt ESM in just three days.
