389 new COVID-19 cases, 18 deaths

Of the 2,633 people tested for the coronavirus over the past 24 hours, 389 were diagnosed with COVID-19, and 12 people, aged 35 to 92, died from COVID-related complications, the Ministry of Health said in a press release on Sunday.

In the past 24 hours, 308 people recovered from the virus and 18 people died from coronavirus-related complications.

Seven people died in Skopje (aged 92, 90, 88, 76, 72, 70 and 35), two people died in Valandovo (aged 70 and 64), two died in Kavadarci (aged 74 and 71), two died in Kriva Palanka (aged 88 and 78), one died in Kumanovo (aged 62), one died in Strumica (aged 78), one died in Sveti Nikole (aged 86), one died in Veles (aged 66) and one died in Tetovo (aged 49). All of them died in hospital.

At the moment, there are 8,535 active cases nationwide, of which 3,908 in Skopje.

Since the onset of the epidemic, N. Macedonia has performed a total of 1,449,036 tests, recording 212,220 COVID-19 cases and 196,249 recoveries. The death toll has reached 7,436.
