The tender for 5G approvals that the Agency for Electronic Communications (AEC) is to announce soon envisages two blocks for the entry of a network operator in mobile telephony. Eventual entry of a new network operator in the country will strengthen the competition in the market where now dominates Makedonski Telekom and A1 Macedonia, and there are three virtual operators that in recent years have taken approximately three percent of market share. Investing in optical infrastructure will be crucial in the market.
